Synopsis

Raon lived as an assassin bound to House Robert. After Derus Robert betrays and kills him, he wakes in a new body as a child of House Sieghart, the continent's most powerful noble family. He remembers the techniques and cruelty of his former life and has one clear unfinished task: get strong enough to face the man who used him. His new start is hardly safe. The Curse of Bitter Frost threatens his life, while Wrath, a demonic presence, tries to claim his body. Raon trains his swordsmanship and his Flame Link technique while learning what it means to have a family worth protecting. His revenge now competes with something he never had as an assassin: a future of his own.

Editorial note

Raon's second life changes more than his rank. In House Robert he was trained to obey; in House Sieghart he can build strength for his own reasons, even as his curse and Wrath keep threatening to take that choice away. The martial progression feels personal because every improvement brings him nearer to Derus but also helps him defend the people who care about him. The contrast between an assassin's learned distrust and the possibility of family gives the training arcs an emotional through-line.
