Synopsis
Kang Jihyeong wants to become a hunter so he can build a better life for the mother who raised him alone. That future collapses when the bullies tormenting him leave his mother in a vegetative state. Jihyeong tries to take revenge, but he is completely overpowered and trapped inside a Red Gate. The gate does not kill him. Instead, its magic transforms him into a monstrous being with overwhelming combat power and extreme regenerative ability. Having lost the life he wanted, Jihyeong begins hunting the people and hunters connected to his suffering.
Bones is built around an intentionally savage reversal. Jihyeong begins as a powerless victim whose only goal is protecting his mother, then returns from the Red Gate as something closer to a monster than a conventional hero.
