Toukyouhatsu Isekai Yuki is Masao Ohtake's first short-story collection, gathering nine standalone works created before and around the early period of Hinamatsuri. Rather than following one recurring cast, the volume jumps between unrelated situations and characters, using deadpan timing, absurd premises, fantasy elements and sudden emotional turns. The collection ranges from the debut story Komakimaki to later pieces such as Mitamura Sakurako (Kari) no Isshou, with the bonus track Ao Shingou Made no Jikan adding a more lyrical note to the book.
